Mr. Clawson died Tuesday, Oct. 13, in a local hospital.
He was born July 26, 1931, to John Herschel Clawson and Wilma Grissom Clawson near Flat. He was a graduate of Flat High School. He married Wanda Williams on March 17, 1951, near Flat. He retired as a supervisor from the Texas Department of Transportation for the Waco District in 1986, after 34 years. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years of Belton; two sons, Darrell Clawson and Randy Clawson, both of Georgetown; a daughter, Lisa Jo Farr of Converse, a sister, Frances Maxine Landry of Goldthwaite, eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Lakeview Baptist Church Building Fund, 7717 Texas 317, Belton, 76513.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Dossman Funeral Home of Belton.
