Maudie Elvina Palmer was born in Serepta, Louisiana on May 26, 1919. She was the daughter of Henry Clay Palmer and Julia Lee Glasgow. During her lifetime, she lived in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Her sibling was an older brother, Lee Patterson. She was the victim of an illness that caused her to become totally blind and she was forced to surrender her baby for adoption in 1942. She never knew her son, who survives her. She died in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1982. She is survived by her son, Bill C. Hall of Glencoe, AR, 2 grandsons, and four grandchildren.
