Thomas Graham Freeman was the son of Barteamus T. Freeman and Aretta Dulcy Bullock. He spent most of his life farming in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. He had 5 siblings: Nannie M. Freeman, Alma R. Freeman, John B. Freeman, Bessie Mae Freeman and Mamie Freeman.

Thomas (Jack) Graham Freeman, according to a 1918 World War I draft registration card, was White and Native American, of medium height and build with blue eyes and dark hair.

He married Florence Bivins about 1905.

He died in Lunenburg County, Virginia.
