BASTROP, LA. Funeral services for Mrs. Mable Perry Bostick of Bastrop will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop with Reverends Allen Eppinette and Kelvin Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Mable Lane Bostick was born September 9, 1920 near Rayville, Louisiana and she died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop. Mrs. Bostick was an entrepreneur having owned and operated numerous fabric stores, an automotive dealership, and a land development company. She is preceded in death by her father; her mother and step-father, Jessie Williams Stevenson and Hollis Stevenson; a grandson, Perry Wilson; three sisters, Helen Hill, Lois Tucker, and Marie Johnson; two brothers, LeRoy Stevenson and Clifton Stevenson; and a great-grandchild.

She is survived by her husband Vernon Bostick, Sr. of Bastrop; her daughter, Elaine Wilson of Bastrop; a step-daughter, Mary Ann Brooks of Calhoun, Louisiana; three step-sons, Donnie Bostick and his wife Linda of Bastrop, Mike Bostick and his wife Jeannie of Magnolia, Arkansas, Bardell Bostick and his wife Rhonda of Bastrop, and Butch Bostick and his wife Cecelia of Bastrop; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Donnie Bostick, Mike Bostick, Bardell Bostick, and Butch Bostick.

Honorary pallbearers are Larry Rhyder, Pat Tucker, and Ronnie Johnson.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening, October 7, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.
