Mrs. Norma Jean Landrum, 70, died Sunday night (October 11, 2009) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.

She was a native of Pierce County, but she lived in Albany for several years before moving back to the Waycross area 20 years ago. She worked with her husband in the pecan business in Albany and was a homemaker.

She is the daughter of the late Berry Morgan and Essie Watson Morgan. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Landrum.

Survivors include one daughter, Debra Gordon of Waycross; two sons, Bill Landrum of Lyons, and Tony Landrum (wife Kay) of Sasser; five grandchildren, Kyle Gordon, Shauna Gibson, Michelle Landrum, Anthony Landrum, and Sayla Landrum; three great grandchildren, Kage Gordon, Kanah Bellflower, and Kalton Brackett; two sisters, Lavada Teston of Blackshear, and Bobby Buck of Waycross; two brothers, Betty Morgan, Jr. of Patterson, and Parnell Morgan of Fernandina, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday (October 13, 2009) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10 until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
