Served in the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 at the Battle of North Point; On May 22, 2022, Col. "Andy" as he is known by his descendants, was honored with a 21 gun salute and a special marker for his service by The Society of the War of 1812 in the State of Maryland. He was the Commander of the 40th Harford County Regiment.
