[Obit] Clarence [Melvin] Barklow, who was operated on Sunday afternoon at Dr. Clarke's hospital for appendicitis, passed away last evening at 10:30. He had been suffering from a ruptured appendix and that he had not realized he was ill enough to need the services of a physician until Saturday, was in very critical condition when he called the doctor. He would have been 30 years of age in August, and leaves a wife and three children, ranging from 5 years to six months old, besides a large circle of relatives and friends, to mourn his untimely taking off. The funeral has not been arranged as we go to press. (MPE-6/26/1919)
