Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 1997 at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay, Ohio. Visitation was from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. today (Monday, March 10, 1997) at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Martinsville with Rev. George Nika officiating. Greenwell Funeral Home assisted with local services. There was no local visitation.
She was born August 9, 1920 in Martinsville to Chauncy and Lucinda (Hills) Pearce.
She married Clifford D. Atkins December 29, 1940 and he preceded her in death in December 26, 1984.
Survivors include: two sons, Ronald D. Atkins, Findlay, Ohio and Rev. Tony A. Atkins, Nevada, Missouri; two daughters, Cheryl Kemmere and Debra Atkins, both of Findlay, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Dorsey (Maxine) Henley, Martinsville; Mrs. Paul (Freda) Fasig, Martinsville and Mrs. Fenton (Billie) Kelly, Tiffin, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
