Dr. Aguirre and his brother, Horacio, founded the Spanish language newspaper, Diario Las Americas, in Miami, FL, on July 4, 1953. He was also an advisor and roving Ambassador to several Latin American countries. He was also a Knight of St. Gregory and of Malta, and a member of the University Congressional and National Press Clubs.
Interment followed Mass of Christian Burial offered at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Washington, D.C., Thursday, September 25, 2008.
