Charles Edwin Abram. Born October 21, 1919, to Arthur and Alma Clark Abram in New Straitsville, Oh. Mr. Abram died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, in Bexley, Oh. Raised in the New Lexington Children's Home, he joined the CCC at a young age. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, World War II. Mr. Abram was a devoted husband and father, and was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Lois on January 27, 2009. He was a born-again Christian and longtime member of Grace Brethren Church of Worthington. Mr. Abram is survived by a daughter, Patricia (Douglas) Ault of Marietta, Ga.; three granddaughters, Erin (Jason) Gross and Aimee (Mark) Scott of Montgomery, Ala. and Alexia Ault of Bowling Green, Ky.; as well as three great-grandsons, Jackson Gross, Jameson Gross, and Everett Scott; in addition to one sister, Wanda Diehr of Columbus. He was preceded in death by siblings Kenny, Idris, and Ernest Abram, Helen Downs, Ruth Mays, Mary Faye Evans, and Lillian Saunders. Visitation will be held Friday, May 29, 2009 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, Clintonville Chapel, 4341 N. High St. (1 block S. of Henderson Rd.), where a funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Mike Roebuck officiating. Interment Alton Cemetery with military honors.
