PINEDALE — Services for Elsie Lee Becenti, 92, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Cope

Memorial Chapel, Gallup. The Rev. Mark Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in family plot, Rainbow Canyon.

Becenti died Oct. 2, 2009, in Gallup. She was born Aug. 17, 1917, in Pinedale, into the Two Who Came to the Water People Clan for the Start of Red Streak People Clan.

Becenti was a long time silversmith and rug weaver. She was a long time Wingate Bear fan. She liked to watch WWE. Becenti was also a Dallas Cowboy fan. She enjoyed traveling to through out the United States.

Survivors include her sons, Tony Becenti Sr. of Pinedale, Jack Becenti Jr. of Leupp, Harrison Becenti Sr. of Pinedale; daughters, Alice Begay of Pinedale, Helen Miller of Pinedale, Esther Largo of Pinedale, Stella Begay of Gamerco, Edith B. Livingston of Springsteads; brothers, Juan Lee and Bennie Begay, both of Pinedale; sister, Annie L. Becenti of Pinedale; 57 grandchildren; 121 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren.
Becenti was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Becenti Sr.; daughters, Loretta Becenti, Marilyn Morgan; sons, Ned Becenti, Virgil Becenti Sr., Richard Becenti.

Pallbearers will be Wendell Yazzie Sr., Logan Wauneka, Cleofus Curley, Jimmie C. Begay Jr., Emerson Becenti, Virgil Becenti Jr., Leo Nez Jr.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Pinedale Chapter House, following services.
