Mrs. Helen C. Bird, 76, of West Bloomfield, Michigan died Monday, May 6 at home. She was born November 7, 1908 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
She was a homemaker and a University of Michigan graduate.
She was a member of the Womens Association of the First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham, the Village Club and the P.E.O.
Mrs. Bird is survived by her husband, William J. Bird; a son David C. Bird; two daughters, Margaret B. Hooker of Lexington and Mary Louise Stubbs; a brother, Markham S. Cheever; and nine grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10 at the First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham.
Memorial tributes may be sent to the Hammett Youth Fund, c/o First United Methodist Church of Lexington, MS.
Arrangements were handled by Bell Chapel of The Wm. R. Hamilton Co.
