BALDWYN - Susie Mae Copeland Anderson died Saturday, April 9, 2005, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born Aug. 11, 1920, the daughter of the late Reb and Ethel Scales and the late James Copeland. She joined Sandhill M.B. Church. After moving to Chicago, she joined Greater Galilee M.B. Church. In Chicago she married Charles W. Anderson, who preceded her in death. After returning to Baldwyn, she rejoined Sandhill M.B. Church. She gave of herself wherever she was needed.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sandhill M.B. Church with the Rev. Lincoln Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Sandhill Cemetery. Agnew and Sons Funeral Home of Baldwyn is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Anderson of Baldwyn; two sons, Hershall Copeland of Baldwyn and Jack (Nicole) Reed of Chicago; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Reed and Martha Edwards, both of Chicago; one brother, Prentiss Copeland of Chicago; an aunt, nieces, nephews, a great-nephew, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Eliza Betts; three brothers, James W. Copeland, Lewis Scales and Billy Scales; and one niece.
