Funeral services for Helen L. Adams will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Threadgill officiating. Interment will be in the El Reno Cemetery.

Mrs. Adams died of cancer on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at her residence. She was born Jan. 14, 1925, in Chickasha. She was married to James Adams on Sept. 27, 1941, in McLeansboro, Mo.

Helen was proud to be a housewife, devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was an active supporter of her children's and grandchildren's activities including P.T.A., Scouts, band, and numerous other sports. Helen also enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was a longtime volunteer of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Parkview Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, James J. Adams of the home; daughters, Sandra Bullock and Denniece Lorenzen and husband, Mark, all of El Reno; grandchildren, Terri Bentley of Ozona, Texas, Travis Bentley and Lauren Lorenzen, all of El Reno; and two great-grandchildren, Heather Price and Megan Bentley.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
