She received her early education in the Highway 35 location of the Freehill School. She married Robert Lee Ashcraft on Jan 9, 1942, in Rye. They moved to Pine Bluff in 1953. She worked for the Pine Bluff Casket Company for 19 years. She then went to work as a machine operator for Pine Bluff Industries for eight years, retiring in 1984. She was a Baptist.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, six brothers, two sisters, and one grandson, Howard Douglas Baker.
Survivors include a daughter; two sons; eleven grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was February 23 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Rev. Steve Drye officiating. Burial followed in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
