PILLAGER — Elaine M. Neugebauer, 88, who resided at Krushe Residential Homes in Pillager, died on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at her daughter's home in Pillager.
Funeral services for Elaine will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Church in Brainerd, Minn. with Pastor Kevin Robson officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter from 5-7 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Brainerd, Minn.
Elaine was born on December 2, 1923, in Brainerd, Minn. to Carl and Emily (Roxberg) Fryklind. She spent her entire life in the Brainerd area and resided on Pine Beach Road for 50 years. Elaine was a faithful Christian, who was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Baxter and a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She enjoyed walking in the mall and meeting and talking with people. Elaine was a great people person.
Elaine will be sadly missed by her children, Sherry (George) Krushe, of Pillager, Minn., and Mark, of Brainerd; nine grandchildren, Maurice "Bud" (Marianne), Robert (Denise), Debra, Rachel, Angie (Gary), Amy (Brandon), JoAnn (Jeremy), Cory, and Stephanie (Jake); 18 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and her caregivers at Krushe Residential Homes and her two special friends, Jill and Molly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Maurice Bakkila Sr.; second husband, Wilfred Neugebauer; son, Maurice Bakkila Jr; two sisters, Margaret and Lorena; three brothers, Lester, Lawrence and Clifford; two grandchildren, John and Georgina; and two infant grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
