Charleston - Homer Clarence Adams of Charleston died Sunday at Delta Community Hospital in Sikeston. He was 63 years old.
He was born in Yell County, Ark. May 8, 1914. He lived in Rockwood, Mich. from 1954 to 1976 where he was employed by Ottowa Silica Co. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Flatrock, Mich. and moved to Charleston in 1976.
On Jan. 1, 1932, he married the former Miss Mattie Haney who preceded him in death Nov. 10, 1972.
Surviving are sons, Lee and Lemoen Adams; daughters, Mrs. Elzy Johnson, Mrs. Richard Fountain and Mrs. George Lawson; brothers, O'Dell and Walter Adams; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at McMikle Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
