She was born in Bethany on April 13, 1933, daughter of the late Frank and Amy Howe Buehler. Helen was a retired supervisor for the former Custom Cable Corp. of Seymour, where she had worked for many years. She lived in Bethany until 1951, moved to Seymour, moved to New Haven in 1954 and returned to Seymour in 1961, where she lived the remainder of her life.
Helen was an avid homemaker, loved to cook, enjoyed crocheting, playing Scrabble and computer games, and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved being with her family and friends.
Her loving family, in addition to her loving husband, Thomas, includes her loving sons, William J. Beedle and his wife, April, of Seymour, Michael P. Beedle and his wife, Elaine Thayer, of Seymour; a cherished daughter-in-law, Jamie Kucher of Beacon Falls; a devoted sister, Emma Beedle of East Haven; eight cherished grandchildren; six cherished great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her beloved sons, Steven E. Beedle and Thomas F. Beedle, three beloved brothers, Charles W. Buehler, Frank A. Buehler and Edward J. Buehler, and three beloved sisters, Alice Tomaszewski, Charlotte Lyons and Florence Burt.
A private funeral service will be held at Northwest Cemetery, Woodbridge, with the Reverend Gregory Dawson, pastor of the Seymour Congregational Church, officiating. It was Helen's wish that there be no calling hours.
