She was born in Rutledge, MO, on August 5, 1924, the daughter of the late Fred and Essie (Matlock) McPherson.
She co-owned and operated Balfour & Associates with her husband, Larry, retiring after 38 years.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, a former member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and most recently a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was loved by many.
Survivors include her daughters, Judith Simpson and Christine Harrison; son, Douglas (wife Jacqueline) Balfour; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on December 6, 2007, at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center-Washington Park East. Entombment was in Washington Park East Cemetery.
