Rebecca Hill was born in Dearborn County 30 June 1835. She was the daughter of John Hill (1807-1893) and Elizabeth Daniel (1809-1858) and the wife of Charles Abdon (1831-after 1900). She was the mother of Harriet Ann, known as Hattie, and born in 1854, Mary Elizabeth born 1855, William Thomas born 1858. There is said to be another son, John, born and died in 1862, the same time as Rebecca's death occurred.
