William F. Dean died at 6 o'clock Saturday morning at his house on Dean's Mountain, in the Blue Ridge, two and a half miles east of Rainbow. He was 80 years old and was the father of 23 children. He leaves two brothers, Morgan and Solomon Dean, both living in the vicinity of Dean's Mountain.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon, interment being made in the Solomon Dean graveyard. The services were conducted by Rev. Stephen Hensley, a minister of the Methodist church, of which Mr. Dean was a member.
