Born in Douglas on March 5, 1919, Frances was the daughter of Andrew J. and Mary A. (Piknosh) Duda and was a lifelong resident. She worked many years at the former Schuster Woolen Co., first on the textile floor and eventually working in the shipping office. She was educated in the Douglas public school system. She enjoyed planting and working in her yard, and had a love of helping people. She was a member of St. Denis Church. Her graveside funeral service was held Saturday, Nov. 12 in St. Denis cemetery, Manchaug Road. Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., directed the arrangements.
