Mother of John Edwin

Edna Stifle Battershell, 78, of 511 North Cross Street, died Saturday, February 27, 1982 at Crawford Memorial Hospital. Born in Oblong Twp, she was the daughter of Edwin G and Josephine Stentz Stifle. She was a member of Bible Chapel in Crawford County and taught in rural schools as well as being 4th Deputy County Treasurer for three years. Surviving is Cecil, her husband, whom she married March 12, 1926. Also surving are children John and Frank, four grandchildren: Greg of Pasadena, Texas, Brent and Brenda of Robinson, Kathy of Findlay, Ohio, a brother Lawrence Stifle, and sisters Mrs Charles (Elva) Tennis of Flat Rock, and Mrs Arlo (Marie) Misamore of Findlay, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Charles, and brother Ethan Stifle. The funeral was at the Buchanan Funeral Home Tuesday, March 2, 1982 with Carl Hall officiating and burial was in Robinson New Cemetery.
