Murder Victim.

Shannon lived in Haynesville, Louisiana. She was only thirteen years old when she became pregnant, and was reported missing on March 8, 1997. She was last seen alive that day, walking down a road leading to the woods near the Mill Street Apartments.

On May 10, 1999, her remains were finally found in a wooded area behind the Mill Street Apartments. The father of her unborn child, a man named Maurice Tate, had taken her into the woods and murdered her. Her case was featured on A&E television's Cold Case Files.

In 2003, Tate was convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to life without probabtion, parole or suspension of sentence. Two innocent lives, Shannon's and that of her unborn child, ending far too soon.
