Canton..Bruce A. Lindzey, 66, of 204 N. 15th Ave., died at 9:55 p.m. Monday September 28, 2009 at his residence.
He was born April 28, 1943 in Canton to Harold H. Sr. and Kathlyn (Riggs) Lindzey. He married Sherry Berry on July 1, 1994 in Fulton County, Ill. She survives.
Surviving are four children, Kathy (Bob) Lucia of Colorado Springs, Co, Kelly Jo Price of Colorado Springs, Co, Troy Smith of West Peoria, and Tyson (Amy) Smith of Canton, and one sister Beverly Hagaman. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Courtney Swaney, Jordyn Swaney, Spencer Price, Annelyse Smith, Jake Smith, Katie Smith, Tony Lucia, Jeff Lucia, and Ginna Lucia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Harold Lindzey Jr.
Bruce worked for International Harvester Company for 20 years, and later worked for Star Transport in Morton as a Regional Manager. Bruce was an Army Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 16, and 40et8.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service.
