Evelyn Baisden

Evelyn Baisden, 92, of Little Dove, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at her residence.

Born January 30, 1912, in Little Dove, to the late E.E. Dempsey and Lummie Vernatter Dempsey, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Baisden was a member of Baisdentown Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Baisden; brothers, Lawrence, Luther, Charles, Warren and Henry Dempsey; sisters, Dorothy Blackburn and Joan Eckart; and sons, Ewell E., Keither and Walter Lee Baisden Jr.

Surviving are her daughter, Betty Coleman of Little Dove; sisters, Cindy Miller, Virginia Baribeau and Arva Reynolds; nine grandchildren; and several great and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 18, 2004, 11 a.m., at Weaver Mortuary with Elder Jimmy Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Memory Gardens, Maher, W.Va. Her grandsons will se rve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, June 17, 2004, 6 - 9 p.m., at the mortuary.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Weaver Mortuary of West Williamson.
