Obit - Jennie M Banning, daughter of the late Charles and Effie Morrow Banning, was born Aug 28, 1900 at Nehawka and died Sept 25, 1970 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon VA.
She graduated in 1928 from the College of Pharmacy at the
University of Nebraka where she was affiliated with Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. After graduation, she was employed by several hospitals in Michigan as a registered pharmacist. Four years ago, she retired at Holland, Mich. and since then resided with a sister, Mrs. Clarice Spindle, at Abingdon, Virginia.
Besides her sister, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Hazel Havlovic; a nephew Joe Havlovic, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; an Uncle Dr. Bert Morrow of Seward, NE; and cousins at Seward, Union and Nehawka. Graveside services were heldat 2:30 Sept 27 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Newhawka, with the Rev. Don Yost officiating.
