Elizabeth Ford was married to Burrell Burge. They had the following chidlren:
Susannah Burge was born on February 8, 17777. in Fairfield, South Carolina.
Nancy Keziah Burge was born on October 17, 1783, in Camden District, South Carolina.
Green Burge was born on July 14, 1788, in Fairfield, South Carolina.
Berryman Burge was born in 1789 in South Carolina.
Burrell Gardner Ford Burge was born in 1790 in South Carolina.
Keziah Burge was born on April 4, 1793, in Fairfield County, South Carolina.

Elizabeth became a widow in 1797 when her husband died in Craven, South Carolina. In 1803 Elizabeth married American Revolution veteran William Armstrong in Fairfield County, South Carolina. William died November 4, 1823, and on December 10, 1825, Elizabeth applied for a continuation of his pension. She was paid $60 annually and made her final collection in 1834. Leaving one to conclude she passed away in 1834 or 1835.

On April 26, 1828, Elizabeth filed a claim to the Fairfield District, South Carolina Court of Equity Bills against her nephew Austin Ford Peay to recover the remainder of Burrell's estate, but it was unsuccessful.

Reading the court record and the testimony by her daughter Susannah on June 19, 1829, now wife of Eli Elkins, the court was about who has the owns enslaved people.
