He was a native of Pelham, Ga., and had been a resident first in Palatka and later in Interlachen for the past 35 years, coming from Pelham. He had served honorably with the U.S. Air Force. He retired in 2005 as a Jordan Room Operator at Georgia-Pacific Corp. in Palatka after 31 years of service. He was a Christian. He had enjoyed fishing, gardening and feeding birds. His family held a very special place in his heart.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Virginia Daniel of Interlachen; two sons and daughter-in-law, William "Bubba" Addison and Tony and Maile Addison, all of Palatka; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Wayne Franklin of Bon Aire, Ga., and Melissa and Chris Davis of Auburndale; one brother and sister-in-law, Joel and Darlene Daniel of Interlachen; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 20 at Masters Funeral Home of Palatka, with Rev. Ronnie Surrency officiating. A video tribute will be shown. Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 19 Jan 2006.)
