Mrs. Helen Orene Freeman, 84, of Willow Springs, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs, Missouri.

She was born on September 10, 1924 in Seymour, Missouri, the daughter of Roy and Gladys (Cardwell) Swearengin.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Amos Freeman, Sr.; one grandson, Joseph Matthew Doria; one brother and one sister.

She is survived by her children, Amos and Rita Freeman of Sullivan, Missouri, Alice and Steve Zimmer of Ozark, Missouri, David and Bonnie Doria of Drury, Missouri, Wanda and Bob Ramsey of the state of Washington and Clifford and Roxanne Wake of Theodosia, Missouri; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services were at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2009, at the funeral home with Kieth Reese officiating. Interment was in Mt. Ararat Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool, Missouri.
