REV. A. B. CONDO FUNERAL HELD
Widower of Veteran Latin Teacher Dies at Pekin, Buried at Hartsville.
Funeral services for the Rev. A. B. Condo, 87, of Pekin, [Indiana] who died Tuesday, were held Thursday afternoon in the United Brethren church at. New Albany, conducted by Bishop H. H. Fout. Burial was made at Hartsville.
The Rev. Condo lived here for many years, but following the death of his wife, Mrs. Lucretia S. Condo, he located at Pekin. He and Mrs. Condo, who was Latin teacher and dean of girls in Columbus high school for years, gave $40,000 to the Otterbein home at Lebanon, Ohio several years ago.
He was a member of the Indiana U. B. conference for 57 years, was the first president of the Young People's society and was presiding elder for five years. He was college pastor at Westfield, Ohio, for many years. He was also publisher of a number of songs and headed the Condo Publishing company at Lebanon, Ohio.
