CHRISMAN, Ill. -- Raymond E. (Johnny) Bell, 79, of 215 W. Jackson St., Chrisman, Ill. died at 5:43 p.m. Saturday in Lake View Medical Center at Danville, Ill. A member of Chrisman United Methodist Church and Bloomfield Masonic Lodge 148 at Chrisman, he was a former member of Edgar County Illinois Civil Police.
Mr. Bell was born Aug. 7, 1903, in Tippecanoe County, a son of James A. and Cora Phillips Bell. He married Gladys Wright June 25, 1932 at Indianapolis. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, James E. Bell, of Florence, Ala.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Frazier of Tipp City, Ohio and Mrs. Betty E. Wagner of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Estel and Harold of Crawfordsville; a sisger, Mrs. Margie Lusby of Crawfordsville; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville with the Rev. Dale Miller officiating. The body will be cremated. Masonic services will be 7:30 p.m. today in Scott-Bolen Funeral Home, 602 E. Madison Ave., Chrisman, Ill. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
