Mr. Lafuze was a llfe-long resident of this county, having been engaged in farming until later years. He is well known throughout the community and was a grandson of Samuel and Eleanor Lafuze, who were among the earliest settlers of this county. His grandparents came to this country in the year of 1813.
Death occurred about ten o'clock on Thursday evening, Mr. Lafuze having been in poor health for three or four years. He was a member of the Liberty Methodist church.
He leaves one sister, Ms. Lucy Stoops, who resides at Lebanon, Oregon, and one brother, Clinton Lafuze, of this city, besides many other more distant relatives."
