New Hampshire Governor. Born in Townsend Harbor, Massachusetts, he was elected Governor on the Republican ticket from 1915 to 1917. He was responsible for implementing a uniform accounting system for all state agencies. He returned to his family fiberboard manufacturing business after his Governorship ended and died in Rochester.
