Bertrude (Birdie) Amelia Day Baldwin left this life on February 9, 1993 at Latter-Day Saints Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah from causes incident to an automobile accident.


Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was born August 5, 1910 in Lawrence, Utah to Abraham E.and Margaret (Maggie) Tatton Day.


She was married on June 2, 1930 to William W. Baldwin in Beaver, Utah; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1981.


Birdie was a life-long member of the LDS Church and held many positions during her life. The most enjoyable was Relief Society president in Hiawatha, Utah. She was loved by all who knew her. She was gifted at doing handwork and all who knew her has something in their home she had made for them. Birdie's family is comforted by the knowledge that she is now with her husband, parents, brothers, and sisters who have preceded her in death.


Survived by her son, Wallace R. Baldwin and wife, Donnie; daughter, Geraldine (Geri) and her husband Merlin Blackburn; brothers, Boyde and Lamar Day; sister, LaVea Peterson; grandson, Steven; granddaughters, Penni, Jackie, Tammi, Kelly, Melinda, and Jennifer; 12 great-grandchildren.


Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 1993 at 11:00 a.m. in the Kearns Twelfth Ward Chapel, 4260 West Sams Boulevard (5215 South). Friends may call on Friday, February 12, 1993 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), and on Saturday at the Church one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
