Govie Joyce Hale Culver, 78, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at her home. She was born in Union County to George Burman and Rosie Motes Hale.
She was a homemaker and a member of Neely Baptist Church in New Albany. She enjoyed fishing, flowers and going to yard sales.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at United Funeral Service Chapel in New Albany with Bro. Robert Daniel, Bro. Kenny Adair and Bro. Jason Pilcher officiating. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Mack Culver of Myrtle; five sons, Bo Hardin (Rickie), Johnny Hardin (Deana), Tommy Hardin Sr. (Donna), Billy M. Culver (Robin), all of Myrtle, and John Cecil Culver (Janice) of Baldwyn; one sister, Mattie Hale Puffer of Myrtle; one brother, Joe Hale of Myrtle; 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Fredia Joyce Hardin; and three sisters and three brothers.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Hardin, Rodney Hardin, Tyler Hardin, Tommy Hardin, Josh Hardin, Nick Hardin and Travis Hardin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Hardin, John Hardin and Hunter Culver.
