Donnie died at the VA Medical Center in Lexington,Ky.He is the son of the late John D.Bowles and Stella Lakes Bowles Ambrose,a member of the Fairview Baptist Church;he had been a mechanic for the CSX Railroad Company,a member of the Masonic Lodge in Corbin KY,a Kentucky Colonel,and a Vietnam War Veteran of the US Navy. Donnie is survived by his loving wife Gail Linville Bowles,his children:Selenia Walker of Paris Ky,Michelle Miller(Shannon Lakes) of Mt. Vernon, and Chris (Suzanne) Bowles of Lexington,four sisters also survive Donnie: Betty Crutcher of Richmond,Anna Mae McCollum of Berea,Linda Deatherage of Richmond and Nany (Gordon) Kirk of Berea.Four grandchildren,Callie Miller,Caitlyn Miller,Delaney Bowles,and Macy Bowles.Donnie is also survived by a host of nieces,nephews,and a great nieces and great nephews.Donnie was also preceded in death by a son-in-law Bobby Walker, and siblings John D. Bowles Jr.,Thelma McClellan, and Roger Johnson.
