CHARLOTTE--Lucille Cook Bell, 89, a retired schoolteacher, died Thursday in a Huntersville nursing home. Graveside services willl be at 11 am Monday in Taxahaw Cemetery in Kershaw, SC, according to Sutton Funeral Home of Pageland, SC.
Mrs. Bell was born in Lancaster County, a daughter of J. C. Cook and Martha Massey Cook. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She was the widow of James L. Bell.
Surviving are a son, Jim Bell of Charlotte, three sisters, Rebecca C. Horton of Loris, Dorothy C. Rufenacht of Sharon, Pa., and Evelyn C. Jones of Charleston, and two grandchildren.
