Barbara Gail Hewett Brown, 67, of Amarillo died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Robertson Funeral Directors Chapel of Memories in Clarendon with Micheal L. Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.

Barbara was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Clarendon to Noel D. and Ethel L. Elliott Hewett. She married Charles P. Brown on June 27, 1958, in Clarendon. She had been a longtime resident of Amarillo.

She loved to paint pictures. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bobby Hewett.

Survivors include her husband, Charles P. Brown; a daughter, Angela Borron of Amarillo; two sisters, LaRee Short of Amarillo and Jeaneta Wallace of Benbrook; and two grandchildren, Chad W. Borron of Plainview and Tyler P. Borron of Amarillo.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
