The daughter of Carl & Clarice Morgenthaler.

She married Wallace G. Wilson in 1944. To this union she & Wallace raised three children Kathy, Wallace & Andrew.
She married Dr. Richard D. Korns July 14, 1975. With Richard, she became mother to Rick, Barry and Ann.

Jeanie loved Joplin above all places. She loved giving of her time and talents to others as evidenced by her membership in P.E.O., Travel Club, The Friends of St. Avips, Twin Hills Country Club and the First Presbyterian Church, where she served as both a trustee and as an elder. Most of Jeanie's ("Gamama," as she was affectionately known) life centered on her friends and family. She loved entertaining guests. Her door was always open and a welcoming cup was always ready.

Survivors include her beloved sister, Ann Rupert; her children, Wallace, Andrew, Rick, Barry and Ann; her son and daughter-in-laws, Ann Wilson, Coleen Wilson, Jan Korns, Pam Korns, David DeTar and Mike Gunn; her grandchildren, Amanda DeTar, Josh DeTar, Kate DeTar, Wallace Wilson, Kate Bell, Eddie Wilson, Evan Wilson, Tyler Korns, Megan Russell, Jacob Korns, Kristin Balac and Richard Korns; and her great-grandchildren, Katherine Schaefer, Wyatt DeTar, Grace Wilson, Wallace Wilson, Zoey Bell, Kea Smith, Zach Brown, Alec Korns, Wade Korns, Kortney Washick and Brandon Balac.
