George H Cummings MD, son of Patrick F Cummings and Elizabeth Kelley was born in Cascade Pa. in 1864 and one of 9 children. He attended Muncy Normal School, taught school for a few years in Williamsport and became principal of Duboistown Schools. In 1889 he enrolled in the Baltimore College of Physicians and Surgeons. He began a practice in Williamsport for a few years. He moved up state Pennsylvania and at the time of his death in 1934 had an office in Eldred, Pa. His practice specialized in the treatment of children's diseases and obstetrics. He was not married.
