Rockville, Maryland, June 20, Mrs. Elizabeth Peter, widow of William Thomas Peter, died today near Bethesda, aged 76 years. Surviving are her four sons and four daughters. The funeral will take place at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon from the family residence. Burial is to be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Washington. Mrs. Peter was born at Seneca, this county and was the last surviving child of the late Major George Peter of Revolutionary War fame [Researcher's Note: Major George was born after the Revolutionary War ended. However, he did participate in the War of 1812].
