Forestville- Eleanor M. (Phersick) Wojick, 78, of 33 Harmony Rd. passed away Friday May 1, 2009 at Hospital of Central CT, New Britain Campus.
She was the wife for 55 years of John Wojick.
She was born April 18, 1931 in Turners Falls, MA daughter of the late Louis C. and Eleanor (Cusson) Phersick. She was a teacher in the Bristol School System and also ran Wojick's Day Care in Bristol for 20 years. She had been a foster mother for 78 newborn babies. She was a volunteer for the Bristol Red Cross and the Plainville Senior Center.
Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Christopher Wojick of Higganum, Kathleen Armstrong of Forestville and Kristen Wojick, of San Francisco, CA, a brother Louis F. Pfersick of Southington, a brother-in-law Eugene Wojick of Meriden, a sister-in-law Lois Hebert of Windsor Locks, and a grandson Colin Celauro of Forestville.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday 10a.m.at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. in Southington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m to 12 noon. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave., Meriden, CT 06450-1004.
