Charles Otto Brostrom died November 15, 1923, at the age of 47 years, 6 months, and 18 days. He was born in Vennersburg, Sweden, Aug 27, 1877, coming to Dunnville when 9 years of age, where he resided until the time of his death.
He married Maude Jennings April 9, 1903. To this union was born eight children: Grace, Carl, Harold, Lawrence, Robert, Marion and Eunice. Also, little Leodda who died as an infant.
Mr. Brostrom was highly respected and loved by all who knew him. He was a loving and devoted husband and father.
He was converted two years ago in a revival service conducted by Reverend J. R. Clawson and was a member of the probationary class of the Wesleyan Methodist Church and has faithfully followed his Savior since his conversion attending the services and helping as best he could always speaking an encouraging word.
He leaves to mourn his loss a loving wife and seven children and one brother Edward Brostrom of Long Beach, California; six sisters, Jenny Johnson of Eau Claire; Lizzy Peterson, Sarah Fagerlind, Anna Peterson all of Downsville; Hilda Fagerlind of Waterloo, Iowa and Alma LaFleur of Anacortes, Washington. One brother, John, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted November 19 in the Dunnville Church, the Reverend Charles Butcher officiating. Interment was made in the Downsville Cemetery.
