James was born 3 November 1863 in Eagle, Clinton County, Michigan. He had been previously married to Emma J. JOSLIN with whom he had four children: Eunace, George, Gladys, and Clyde.
Myra died 26 January 1942 in Elsie, Clinton County, Michigan.
Myra is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Elsie. She has two different plots assigned to her. She is listed in plot 143 along with her first husband Elijah James BURWELL and their daughter Ruth. She is also listed in plot 288 as Myra COPENHAVER.
