Billy D. Brown, age 87, of Camargo died at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at Provena Covenant Medical Hospital, Urbana.
He was born in Camargo, Il. to Bert and Katherine Haines Brown. He married Myra McCumber in March 1947. She died Feb. 2, 2003.
Survivors include a son, Gary Brown of Kenosha, Wisconsin; two daughters, Kathy Sonneborn of Springfield and Lisa Brown of Jacksonville, Fl.; nine grandchildren; a brother, Paul Brown of Marion and a sister, Ruth Jackson of Homer.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, David and Chris and two brothers, Bob and Jack.
He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving at Iwo Jima.
