Mrs. Peter Lund Buried at D-Lake Monday Afternoon

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Mrs. Peter Lund, 92, who passed away early Friday morning at Tyler hospital. Mrs. Lund suffered a fall in her home several weeks ago with a broken leg resulting, and was taken to the hospital for treatment and care. Pneumonia which set in later was the cause of her death.

Services were held at the home and at Diamond Lake church, conducted by her pastor, the Rev. Walter Browon of Ruthton. Burial was in the Diamond Lake cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Gylling, Erik Krog, Herbert Krog, John Simonsen, Henry Black and Johan P. Krog.

Johanna Marie Lund was born in Slesvig, Denmark, September 11, 1860, and was just short of 92 years of age ask the time of her death. Aug. 15, 1952.

At the age of 24 years, she came to the united States and on Feb. 16, 1886, she was united in marriage to Peter R. Lund.

Mr. and Mrs. Lund made their home on a farm near Cedar Falls, Ia., until 1904, when they moved to Lincoln County, Minnesota, engaging in farming a few miles north of Lake Benton. In 1926, the couple retired and moved to Lake Benton where they continued to reside until their depths.

Surviving are one son, John Lund of Lake Geneva, Wis.; twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Her husband, Peter; one daughter, Mrs. Sofus Black, and two sons, Hans and Soren have all preceded her in death.

Those from a distance who attended the last rites were: Mr. and Mrs. John Lund, Lake Geneva, Wis.; Mrs. James F. Anderson, Minneapolis and Miss Marian Lund, Fargo, N. Dak.
