Verne' Irene Poulsen Cardinal, 64, our loving mother, passed away on December 31, 1992 at the home of her son, Gary Poulsen, in Sandy, Utah.
Born August 21, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri to James Clyde and Bessie Irene Stevens O'Dell.
Married Melvin O. Poulsen; later divorced. Married David R. Cardinal in Kellog, Idaho on February 21, 1970.
She was a member of the Westside City Council and had responsibility for the residents of Riverside Apartments receiving their Housing Services.
Survivors: husband, David Cardinal; sons, Philip Poulsen and wife, Deena; Salt Lake City; Gary Poulsen and wife, Cheryl, Sandy; daughter, Joy Malan and husband, Steve; 12 grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother, James O'Dell.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 4, 1993 at 11 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 South State Street, where friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Utah Veteran's Memorial Park.
