Mr. David Allen Billings, 70, of Monett, Missouri passed away at 5:46 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Cox Monett Hospital. He was born May 30, 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee the son of the late Melvin and Mary (Bennett) Billings. David was united in marriage to Annie Laurie Montague June 23, 1969 in St. Charles, Missouri she survives.
David was a retired carpenter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and he attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Monett, Missouri.

Along with his wife he is survived by one daughter: Tina Marie Schmidt of Smithton, Illinois; five step-daughters: Sue Burrouhgs of Fayetteville, Illinois, Cutha Word of Coulterville, Illinois, Carlita Kowalczyk of Mt. Home, Arkansas, Melody Collins of Granite City, Illinois, and Gerry Dillon of Monett, Missouri; one step-son: Carlos Collins of Freeburg, Illinois; one sister: Jean Murphy of Memphis, Tennessee; one brother: Jack Billings of Memphis, Tennessee; twenty-two grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother James Billings, two sisters Marie Billings and Edna Pepin.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2008, 10:30 a.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home with Brother Mike Denicola officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, March 31, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the care of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home Monett, Missouri.
