Lou was a lifetime resident of the Washington DC area. He retired as a civilian from the Department of the Navy. He served in WWII with the US Army and graduated from Georgetown University. He was a founding member of St. Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church in Falls Church. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helen, and two daughters, Pamela Spring and Valerie Underhill and two grandchildren.
